On the flip side, Superior Drummer 3's UI is much more user friendly, and it's much more intuitive to tweak drum sounds to match your preferences, and the cymbal samples are much more convincing. I heard Additive Drums doesnt not sound great in a mix or after some processes or its kinda hard to get the right sound in a mix while with Superior Drummer you can get great sound in a mix. Hey LPHelpers: As a long-time user of logic I only recently discovered the Drummer plugin. But Im not sure if I should buy that - as long as it still is 150 - or wait for the release of Fredman Digitals own sample player, which they are currently developing. And also replacing the drum sound on mixing stage is not so uncommon so as long as you have good samples, the original drum VST doesnt really matter. Also, FWIW, I find SSD's cymbal samples to be lacking - they don't sound as lush or full as a professionally recorded drum track should sound, especially not the hi-hats. Sound was pretty good but I just couldnt stand the horribly complicated GUI.

I have Steven Slate Drums 5 and Superior Drummer 3, but primarily use Superior Drummer 3 (Trigger is something completely different - that's for replacing a previously recorded drum track with samples, rather than programming a drum track from scratch). With Superior Drummer 3, you have control and creative power beyond the imaginable.
